in late july/early august we spent a week in orange beach, alabama with the WHOLE brawner crew. one whole week. with the whole crew. amazing. it was an incredible time i will never forget. it was the perfect way to sum up a most horribly wonderful summer. ;) ... we were all together... celebrating eachother and life and the simplicity of slowing down and taking in the beautiful beach. we did a lot of sitting, eating, playing and watching you and oak experience the sun and sand together for the first time. perfection.
at some point on our drive home, we did the usual "what was your favorite part of the trip" game...
i had two favorites. 1) seeing your excitement for the beach and the ocean when you first saw it. 2) the feeling i felt when i saw my dad (pa) walk onto the sand. he was experiencing his first days of "freedom" from his neck brace. and he was pushing all limits of that freedom. we all held our breath. watched him walk along the uneven sand. my heart was so full.
moments i will never ever forget.
