dirt camp

caroline,

we made a new discovery... oxley nature center! we spent a morning there for "the science of dirt" - and had so much fun. it was right up our alley.  we are already signed up for the next class, where you'll get to learn about the parts of a flowers.

at dirt camp... we read a story, sang songs and fell in love with your teacher, mrs. ramona.  i want to be mrs. ramona when i grow up ;).... then, we went outside.  everybody got a spoon and was instructed dig a hole... while we were digging she showed us some baby fish and fun things she found in the pond.  then she filled your hole with pond water and told you to stir it up....

everybody got a big piece of paper, and a paintbrush and you painted a mud masterpiece!

you were in hog heaven in the middle of nowhere... running through the fields... dirty hands... no cares... in your pa shoes ;)

this class was so you. i can't wait to take you back. (the fact that i had two ticks on me... and had to disinfect and wash every single thing that went with us that day.... huge tote, full camera bag, etc etc... makes me a little leery.... but not enough to keep us away)

eli and ashlee met us there, and then eli came home and spent the rest of the day with us! such a fun fun day :)

i love you, ro

pioneer days

caroline,

we spent a fun long weekend in guymon for pioneer days! we fit a weeks worth of stuff into a weekend -- and had a blast!

my first trip to guymon was during pioneer days when dad and i were in college! it's a really fun weekend i guymon :)

not only was it pioneer days, but it was also dad's 10 year high school reunion -- so on top of all the normal events, we had several reunion events too.

i didn't take near enough pictures of the fun weekend -

but here are some of you and the crew on friday morning watching the cowboys ride in... and then again on saturday morning at the parade. you loved every bit... and have never eaten as much candy... seriously, uncle pete loaded you up! one happy girl :)

grammy made you and grace matching dresses and bonnets!

aunt liz took you shopping for your cowgirl boots... you were dressed the part :)

you enjoyed a weekend with grammy and grampy... and jenny and grace, too! you girls are really sweet together!!

love you,
mom
