i love easter. i love easter sunday. i love mama's house. i love the tradition we have. i love being with family. this was a great, great day :)
you were absolutely beautiful.
we went to crandall to go to church with mama and the crandall crew. we spent much of the time in the cry room, as you weren't really into sitting in church ;)
then we went for a drive because you were SO tired... you fell asleep and took a great nap on granny's bed.
you were beautiful in a pale blue silk dress...it didn't photograph well, but you look so pretty in it. i took it in to have it hemmed and the guy talked me out of it... sort of wish i would have gone ahead... oh well, you'll wear it to kindergarten ;)
we had our easter egg hunt at mama's -- in a bit of a rush as we were trying to beat a rain storm. you had fun. it was your 3rd one of the year, so you were getting the hang of it. grandma had a special yellow egg for you, and all the other great grandkids. she's so good at going the extra mile and making everyone feel special. yours had a baby chick and some of your favorite candy. do you know how amazing your grandparents are?? :)
you LOVE mama. you really haven't spent a whole lot of time with her... but you adore her. you talk about her often, and you listen to her almost like you KNOW the wisdom she shares. it's really, really sweet. she's one of the most precious people in the world and i am so very thankful you know her! i love that her blood runs through your veins... we have a long line of beautiful women ahead of us... and for that i am humbled, thankful and just get a little wiggly thinking about the standards they have set ;)
we drove back to tulsa that evening... so it was a long, but sweet, sweet day... i loved spending it with you.
you're precious, sarah caroline. these days are fleeting and you are turning into a little girl before my eyes!
i love you! it was a happy easter for all. :)
mom
{at this point we decided to take a drive and nap ;)}
.... and after looking through the pictures. i feel like i should explain why you are a bow head. ;) i had them made at kathleen's kids... and the lady told me that for easter i should make them a little bigger since it's a holiday. bigger they were ;). i hope you can see how beautiful you are behind those huge ribbons on your head :)... ilu
