i cried the day your turned ten WEEKS. i couldn't believe you'd hit double digits in weeks...
and now...

i feel like our life is in fast forward, and from what i hear...it only moves faster the older you get.
we may be flying, but i can guarantee you we are enjoying the ride!
you truly get more precious with each day. tonight you crawled back and forth between dad and i on the couch a thousand times...back and forth...back and forth...giggling the whole way! you'd stop in between and make a silly face, or squeal, or throw yourself back for a spider-man kiss. my heart leaps when you giggle. truly. i sat there thinking, where has the time gone? our wee-baby is a little girl.

you are a beautiful little girl. i am thankful for you.

TEN MONTHS!
we celebrated today with errands to the bank and cleaners! whoo!! then to shades for a chai...which was in no way selfish on my part...you LOVE shades ;)....then to the park. oh.my.goodness. sarah caroline, you LOVE to play outside! i am thankful for the pretty weather we have this week. you climbed and crawled and dug and played forever. thank goodness we invited stripes to the park...he had a good time, too! you spent quite a long time at the base of a huge magnolia tree, you really tried to figure out how to climb it. i just know we're going to have a blast in our backyard adventures!! ...and i couldn't be happier that you love magnolia trees. you get that honestly :) we finished our afternoon by playing on a quilt in the front yard with bertie-girl & working in the flower bed. needless to say, we both needed a good bath when we came inside!
when we were leaving the park, i looked at you through the mirror, and you smiled the most precious, intentional smile...as if you were saying, "thanks mom. that was fun!" i thought i would melt.
what are you up to these days?
yesterday i posted about lots of the little things you're doing -- so i won't list those again. but, i'd love to. i really could harp on how precious you are with my every breath! i really like you! :)
- diapers? size 4
- clothes? 12-18 months are getting snug, which is expected!
- weight? i'm thinking you've put on a bit since your last pedi visit at 9.5 months....you're pretty chunky right now...but, i bet you start walking that off before too long. you're close!
- food? you're picking up on more table foods. we've started protein! you've had chicken, boiled egg yolk, and ground beef. i'm still making your food separate and special...but i'm thinking before long we will plan our dinners to accommodate you. what a big girl! you're also loving yogurt! you've been eating organic greek yogurt pretty much every morning with your brunch. and we did sneak some pancakes the other day. you did love them...but, not as much as we first expected. grandma thought you'd eaten an entire pancake, until we noticed bertie standing underneath you waiting for the next drop!! you are nice to share. :)
- teeth? EIGHT! and i think another is cutting now. crazy. your new teeth really make you look old. you'll be eating cheeseburgers before too long! ha.
- development? you're still crawling like crazy! you pull up on everything and can cruise anywhere. the last couple of days you've been standing independently a lot more. too cute.
- sleep? we've gone down hill! you're waking up a lot through the night. makes for sleepy days! i think your crazy teething spree is the culprit. i hope we take a teething break soon, so you can really get some good rest at night. you have been going to sleep earlier, around 8:30-9ish...your dad usually gets some good cuddle time before we crash. he's loving that!
you are loved, sarah caroline...and you are so sweet to show us how much you love us! and that means the world :)
